Yadea launches two electric bikes at Interlagos; find out more

Chinese electric motorcycle giant Yadea made its debut in Brazil official during the Interlagos Festival. And to begin with, the brand announced the arrival of two models on our market: Keeness and Owin.

Yadea Keeness

With its sporty naked look, the Yadea Keeness is designed for urban use and promises performance equivalent to that of a 125-cylinder combustion bike. It has a 5.5 kW central electric motor (with a peak of 11 kW), chain drive and accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in just 3 seconds, reaching up to 100 km/h.

One of the highlights of Yadea's electric bike is the set with two removable lithium batteries, which, according to the manufacturer, are lighter and offer greater autonomy, reaching up to 129 km on a charge at 45 km/h.

In addition, the Keeness comes with items such as inverted front suspension, adjustable rear monoshock, disc brakes with CBS system, 17-inch wheels and sport profile tires. The model has compact dimensions and features a full digital dashboard, handlebar controls, a USB socket and a 16-liter compartment in place of the tank. Also noteworthy is the intelligent battery management system, which increases the durability and safety of the electrical system.

Yadea Owin

Aimed at urban mobility, the Yadea Owin is a scooter that falls into the category of self-propelled scooters and does not require a license plate or a driver's license. With a retro design, the model uses a 1000W motor in the rear wheel and reaches a top speed of 32 km/h. The 60V 30Ah lithium battery is removable and has a range of up to 71 km. Charging takes an estimated five hours. The battery is guaranteed for two years, according to Yadea.

The Yadea Keeness arrives in stores from August at a suggested price of R$ 28,900. The Owin starts at R$ 13,900, and sales are scheduled to begin at the end of June.

National production and network expansion

Since April, Yadea has been manufacturing its motorcycles in the Manaus Free Trade Zone, in partnership with JBL. Now that the motorcycles have been announced, the manufacturer's next mission is to expand its network. According to the company, the goal is to open 300 points of sale in Brazil over the next three years.
